A traditional flint cottage in which the bread was baked when the building was also part of the old village stores. Completely refurbished in 2012, modernised and equipped to a high standard, The Bakehouse provides comfortable accommodation for couples and families.
The living/dining area has two sofas and a dining table that seats 4. There is a flat screen TV with DVD and Digital Freeview with around 80 channels, iPod docking station and a selection of books and games for guests to enjoy.
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
The downstairs bathroom features a large shower, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a superking-size bed, goose down duvet and goose and duck feather topper. (This room can become a twin bedded room on request)
The second room has twin beds and views over the garden. We also have a full size cot which can replace one of the twin beds or be placed in the master bedroom, if required. High-chair and stair-gate are available on request.
Guests are welcome to share use of The Old Bakery’s walled garden. In the garden, the summerhouse has a selection of outdoor games, including croquet, badminton and boules for guests to play or alternatively sit and relax in the summerhouse, the patio or in the south-facing garden.
